MY RECORD BAG: OSCAR JONES
On the episode of my record we welcome Leeds based producer Oscar Jones to display his pick of tracks.
Part of the team over at Below Records, Heavily influenced by the distinct Rominimal sound, Oscar caught our ear with his recent productions including his Sonder EP as well as a collaboration with Pük on Tranquil’s free download series titled, Native Tongue.
Over to Oscar…
Malin Genie & Per Hammar – Ayla
Deep, dark and dubby late-night grooves from Malin Genie & Per Hammer. Hands down one of my favourite EPs at the moment, I could listen to this for hours!
Alci – Forgotten
Absolutely flawless micro house from Alci in his Forgotten Time EP. The watery chords and vocals complement the groove perfectly!
Silverlining – 6 am Cab to Leyton
Bought this one from Phonica last summer and it’s fair to say that I spent the rest of my time in London singing this bassline to myself on repeat; it’s so addictive!
Three Angels – Flame (Howl Ensemble Reconstruction Mix)
Sublime warm up grooves with Howl Ensemble’s reconstruction of ‘Flame’. The textural work in this is really special.
Arapu – Mdmamazing
Deep and hypnotic minimal techno from Arapu, there’s not much that can top this at 4am!
